  • How does the service work?

    We start with an in-person customer interview to understand your practice. After signing a contract, you can request shifts, which are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • What are the fees?

    Fees are hourly, based on shift time and services. Additional fees apply for short-notice requests, cancellations, and direct hiring of Veterinary System Services, Inc employees.

  • Can I cancel shifts?

    Yes, but short-notice cancellations (less than a couple of days) incur fees. Frequent cancellations may affect staff confidence in signing up for their shifts.

  • What is your placement rate?

    Fulfillment rates vary by time of year, request lead time, and location. Veterinary System Services, Inc does not guarantee fulfillment.

  • How does the billing work?

    Billing is on a 2-week cycle. You receive an invoice after services are rendered, which includes all fees. Invoices are not 'net 30' terms.

  • Can I use VSS for finding new employees?

    Yes, we can help with temporary staffing. If you want to hire our employees directly, fees apply. VSS employees are W-2, "At Will" employees.

  • What are my obligations to your employees?

    Provide a safe work environment, necessary tools, and comply with labor laws. You don't need to handle HR issues.

  • Do you provide dosimeter badges for your CVTs?

    Most employees have dosimeter badges. Those without a badge cannot assist with X-rays unless provided by the customer.

  • Is there a guarantee for placements?

    No, we are a temporary staffing company. You can try out employees before offering them a job.

  • How does it work?

    VSS fills relief shifts with its employees. After hiring, you can pick up shifts you qualify for, with a probationary period to get acclimated.
